Kyle Peterson and his journey through baseball

Narrator: ESPN baseball analyst Kyle Peterson grew up playing the game he commentates today. The former Milwaukee Brewer was born and raised in Elkhorn, Nebraska, the very place he found his baseball roots.

Narrator: Peterson went on to play at Stanford and competed in two College World Series. The pitcher remembers getting drafted to the Brewers organization like it was yesterday.

Narrator: The Elkhorn native spent exactly two years in the minors before accidentally finding out he’d be pitching in a Brewers uniform.

Narrator: Peterson spent the 1999 and 2001 season as a Milwaukee Brewer, but after three surgeries, Peterson knew it was time for a change.

Narrator: From his first days in the broadcasting booth to being dubbed the voice of the College World Series, Peterson has come a long way in his career.
